7 inch vr head mounted display
thingiverse
I've been working on this project for ages now, and it's finally taking shape. I sourced the components from eBay, carefully selecting a 1280x800 LCD panel with a PCB 800099 controller board that features five aspherical lenses. For head-tracking purposes, I'm using EdTracker, an ingenious DIY system built around an Arduino microcontroller. The front shield has plenty of space left over for anyone who wants to add their own twist to the project. Holes on both the top and front panels are designed to accommodate 40mm fans - the one at the top is intended to de-fog the lenses, while the fan mounted in the front will help keep the PCB board cool. It's essential that these fans operate in an exhaust direction. In the near future, I plan to upload the model files as .STP files, allowing anyone interested to modify them at their leisure. I hope you'll like this project!
