7 Degree Angle Blocks
thingiverse
I had a job come up that required cutting compound angles in 1.25" square tubing. Having only a powered hacksaw with an adjustable angle limited to one plane, I decided to design some angle blocks to achieve the precise 7 degree cut on the diamond cross section. The blocks are marked 7 Left and 7 Right, featuring dimensions of: 3/4" W x 3/4" H x 3.5" L To use them effectively, simply place the blocks in your vise, lay your tubing on the blocks, tighten the vise firmly, and you should be able to make an accurate 7 degree cut in the end of a piece of square or round tubing. I also added a modified version - one piece, faster, stronger, and better.
