In my attempt to create a more precise model of wire rope, I discovered that a simple cylinder extrusion was insufficient. Although I couldn't find a comprehensive tutorial for tools like Solid Edge and SolidWorks online, I still applied similar principles to enhance the representation. However, due to the high processing requirements, the resulting part file was massive (18 Meg) and thus not very practical for everyday use.
