7/8" Nut Knob for Pentair Pool Filter
thingiverse
I've gone through a couple crescent wrenches over the years because there's no where convenient to store it near my Pentair cartridge filter and it either gets rusty left out in the elements or rusty in the deck box where all the pool chemicals are stored. I found a good knob design on Thingiverse and sized it for the 7/8" brass nut on the filter. I also gave it a bit of a neck to step the handle away from the tank to get it to the size where it's large enough to hand tighten to the appropriate degree. In addition to being able to be left on the unit the entire process of removing and retightening the nut is much faster and more convenient as you won't have the handle of a wrench constantly hitting the side of the tank. The hole in the model is exactly 7/8" and I got a nice snug fit printing with a .15mm hole horizontal expansion.
