7/8" Handlebar Vice Cutting Clamp

7/8" Handlebar Vice Cutting Clamp

thingiverse

Designed up a quick jig to hold a set of 7/8" Grom handlebars while I cut them. The lower portion gets clamped into a vice and you slide in the bars, line them up, then used a hacksize in the narrow cutout to get myself a nice clean and square cut on the end when I narrowed them. Printed at 20% gyroid infill, it doesn't need to be super strong as the rings get printed fairly solid anyway. My earlier model cracked the rings on me and i just gorilla taped them back in place and it still worked fine. You don't need a ton of rigidity, to be honest.
