Every knight had a reason to join, but our friend had different motives ! Vampires prey on the living, consuming their blood is their only way to survive, our friend battled his beast like nature for years as he couldn't morally justify it! The only way to justify it is by preying on "the bad guys" and that is why he joined the band. at first, his comrades did not know he was a vampire , it was only a mater of time until they did, but by then they knew him enough to trust his ability to tame the monster inside him and not see them as prey!
