I'm a huge fan of Ikea's unique style, so I decided to give making a sync and charging dock for my iPhone a try, inspired by their curvy designs. I even added trumpets to amplify music, podcasts, phone calls, or whatever you'd like. To get started, glue a Lightning cable into the bottom of the amplifier pod - you can find one for £1 in many places - ensuring the bottom of the connector plug is flush with the outer surface of the pod. This allows your phone to clip snugly into place. If you don't want to use it as a charging dock, simply plug the hole and ignore the cable; the amplifier will still work perfectly for your phone. Now, enjoy your new creation! When inserting the two horns into the front of the casing, push them all the way in - just like they appear in the photos with the blue horns. The holes are sculpted to fit the horn exactly into place, so it's a bit of a tight fit, but keep pushing until you feel them click into place. If you don't do this correctly, the central amplifier and dock pod won't line up properly with the gap on top of the dock, and your phone won't fit in correctly.
