7.3L Powerstroke (Navistar/IH) Break Out Box
thingiverse
Test your 7.3L Powerstroke UVCH wiring with ease. Disconnect the UVCH harness at the valve cover and plug this in to create a convenient test point / break-out-box. The box dimensions are 110mm x 80mm x approximately 45mm. Instead of using an off-the-shelf ABS project box, I designed and printed one based on a previous model I had used and added lettering and holes. When working on the engine, you're looking at cylinders 1/3/5/7 or 2/4/6/8 depending on your position. To check the glow plugs, use an isolated ground separately. Refer to the attached wiring schematic for specific locations. Items used: Any UVC Gasket repair harness will work. I purchased an APDTY 015299 UVC Pigtail from online sources and utilized chassis mount banana plug sockets along with miscellaneous screws, 1/4" terminal ends, a 3/8" rubber grommet (1/2" hole), and zip ties that I had on hand. The holes in the box are snug for the post busings to fit. Install the grommet before fishing your wires through and crimping terminals on. Edit: The wires on the repair pigtail were shorter than expected, so I extended them to place the box in a more practical location. This box greatly simplifies working on your truck solo, making it stress-free. Results may vary.
