6mm Locust LCT-1M
thingiverse
The Locust was a ubiquitous BattleMech, produced continuously since its introduction by Bergan Industries in 2499. As one of the smallest 'Mechs ever built, it was designed exclusively for reconnaissance and swift strike missions, utilizing its exceptional speed to outrun most adversaries. When unable to outrun its enemies, the 'Mech had a lightweight array of weapons with which to defend itself, but the Locust lacked the firepower or staying power to be a true front-line combatant, resulting in few MechWarriors enjoying piloting these machines. Within its weight-class, however, the Locust was considered an outstanding 'Mech, outshone only by designs featuring jump jets as scouts. Often when a Locust engaged in combat, it did so as a holding action until reinforcements arrived, although operating in groups of three enabled them to swarm lone enemy 'Mechs separated from friendly support. LCT-1M The LCT-1M was a long-range variant of the Locust built for the Federated Suns in 2571. This version carried two LRM-5 launchers instead of machine guns and one ton of reloads at the cost of three tons of armor protection.
