I. redesigned the laser holder for the Pi-1 so as to hold a 6mm laser, common on Amazon. I used a 1000 uF cap with a typical cheap unregulated 6mm red 3V laser module. I think a smaller cap might work better. Maybe 470 uF, but the 1000 uF worked fine and gives a very visible, long laser "blast". See Pi Laser pistol here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1068132
