Print Settings Printer Brand: Stratasys Printer: uPrint SE Plus Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2540 How I Designed This I designed this part using Inventor's basic tools. Project: Making laser-ply wood easier to join Objectives To help glue together separate laser ply pieces used for simple boxes To create a simple and affordable replacement for the heavy vice or quickgrip Audience This piece is suitable for secondary school students making simple box shapes in DT, as well as older students and makers who need an easy way to hold panels together while gluing. Preparation Before designing this piece, measure the thickness of the panels you want to join. Steps Measure the panel thicknesses Use CAD tools like extrude, mirror, cut, and shell to draw the design Keep the minimum thickness at 2mm Save as STL and print Results Our print worked well at 2mm thick, but you can increase the size. You'll need four of these pieces to start holding a complete box together, and eight for the whole thing.
