This is a simple cutting template for 6mm tubing used specifically for the hoses of Range Rover EAS (air suspension). I created this template due to some o-rings beginning to leak on one corner, and the cold nights causing significant shrinkage in the springs overnight. To address this issue, I wanted to add T-pieces between the air distributor block and each of the 4 springs with Schrader valves on the branches, allowing me to top up any or all of the springs with a standard tyre inflator when necessary. The short lengths of pipe required for this setup need to have absolutely square ends to maintain good seals, necessitating a cutting guide. There are numerous 4mm PTFE tube cutting guides available, but since EAS air lines are 6mm in diameter, it was easier for me to design something quick in Fusion rather than modifying an existing part. This is the result of that effort. To ensure a precise fit, I had to drill a small amount out of the hole with a 6mm HSS bit as my settings prioritize strength over exact dimension. The resulting template provided a snug fit perfect for exact alignment. The blade slot in this template is 0.5mm, allowing just enough room for a small snap-off blade to pass through dead on 90° across the tube.
