6in - Inline Activated Charcoal Cage
thingiverse
This is designed as an in-line cage for a 6-inch exhaust used by a laser cutter that was created.\r\n\r\nThe faceplate fabricated is intended to stop around layer 2 and overlay a piece of window screen to be embedded into the piece, preventing activated carbon from falling out of the face covers. This can also be achieved by using a fabric filter on the backside of the face cover.\r\n\r\nThe body of the in-line filter is flanged for mounting to a flat surface. This also acts as a stop when attaching any exhaust duct.\r\n\r\nThe face cover is attached to the body using M3*12 screws, which I have found to be effective but may want to use M4 screws for a tighter fit. Other screw types can also be used.\r\n\r\nI hope this design will be useful for others as it has been for me and my maker space.
