6in Gel Frame

Hello! During the construction of the new high school I'm currently attending, the construction crew gave us a crap ton of new Color Source Pars with no diffusers or gel frames, and therefore we had to take things into our own hands and “design” gel frames.

These frames are seven inches from end to end, with a hole that is six inches in diameter, perfectly matched to the metal gel frames we brought with us during the move. It is extremely important that you DO NOT use this design on any incandescent fixtures, as there is a chance the heat from the bulb could melt the plastic, causing the frame to deform, or worse, melt onto whoever is sitting below. The “SHSTC” lettering is unimportant, and simply a branding thing for our HS Theatre Club so that the construction company or anyone else who finds a misplaced one can easily track it back to us. If that's an issue for you go into the Solidworks file and just remove the text.

My Print Settings:
Ender 3 v2
Slicer - Ultimaker Cura 5.0
Black Inland PLA+ @ 0.4mm Layer Height (0.2mm initial layer)
Hotend @ 220C & Bed at 50C
Approx Print Time - 3hrs

Important Information:

When printing this, the top three layers will stick to the bottom even though there's a gap. There isn't much of a way around this, however, it doesn't cause too much of an issue. Once the design has finished printing, simply take your scraper and separate the two layers and peel off any extra plastic that is hanging off to ensure a clean light.

There will also be some slight warping on the top, but again it doesn't cause any large issues as the slots on the lights are much taller than the frame itself.

The pictures and the STL are slightly different. The chamfers on the STL file match the gel perfectly while the ones in the picture do not. It's purely a design and aesthetic change and does not affect functionality at all.
