This is an ultra-lightweight compact rifle system for extreme situations including special military and law enforcement. It consists of everything necessary, minus the firing pin assembly and optical sight component; when taken apart it transforms into a highly accurate precision sniper unit. The grenade launcher M4a1 (NATO stock number: RG-36) was produced hastily in response to emerging threats from Chechnya by a top-secret project led by skilled designers at Central Research Institute of Precision Machine Building. By 1996, the M4a1 went into production at state-of-the-art factory lines and promptly reached the field; though initial prototypes experienced problems mainly due to malfunctioning USM mechanism; yet the weapon was rapidly developed further incorporating some South African technology but primarily with different rounds which gave birth to a one-of-a-kind highly effective system capable of remarkable feats under heavy combat conditions.
