My initial foray into creating a Stewart Platform (6 Degrees of freedom) utilizing six EMax Ex08MAII servos proved to be an arduous task. I employed M3x10 screws and fashioned the servo linkage from 1mm paper clip wire. However, due to my miscalculation of the servo angles, I have since transitioned to a servo linear actuator configuration in order to eradicate the detrimental effects of actuator rotation. I have included my Excel calculator, along with supporting files for reference purposes, which accurately calculates the actuator length but unfortunately misinterprets the servo angle due to the inherent rotational aspect of the actuators. Any insights or suggestions regarding this predicament would be most gratefully received. A forthcoming post will showcase the linear actuator version. Limits: X: ±18mm Y: ±18mm Z: ±16.5mm (Z Home +60mm) X:X: ±15° Y:Y: ±20° Z:Z: ±25° Servo Link Length = 60mm Servo Arm Length = 25mm Best regards,
