Thanks to the team at Rosetta, here is Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko in all its three-dimensional glory, with a base that has been flattened. This stunning piece of space rock will be the landing site for the very first mission ever to successfully land on a comet! Now you too can be Emily Lakdawalla and point at the precise landing site J in three-dimensionally printed style, only your comet model will be slightly smaller with a flat bottom so it can sit safely on your desk without any fear of it toppling off. Because I'm feeling just a little bit reckless, I even figured out a size ratio of 1:57673 if you'd like to print something out that is to scale (I accept no responsibility for my arithmetic skills or potential mistakes).
