67-72 GM Console Cup Holder Insert
thingiverse
I uploaded a revised version as mentioned in previous comments earlier today. I'm still unsure if this will resolve the scaling issue for 3D Printing services, but it appears to be on the right track. This is an updated design, re-exported at the correct scale and appended with a "mm" name. Verify your settings before ordering prints, as I've never used a 3D printing service myself. I created an almost accurate design for the cup holder insert that fits between bucket seats in GM (Chevrolet, GMC) trucks. The original consoles from 1967 to 1972 had rectangular slots for lap seat belt buckles. This updated design mimics the later '73 and up console, which replaced the seat belt slots with a more useful cup holder insert. To retrofit into earlier consoles, you'll need to trim out the seat belt slots. This is an early version of the design I was working on, so it's not refined yet. I included my Autodesk Fusion 360 file in case someone wants to make modifications. The center cubby is ready for customization, such as adding switches, a cell-phone pocket, charging dock, or audio ports. I plan to modify and possibly modularize the center cubby design to offer more configurations and customizations. This was initially a concept test to see if my printer could handle the print. This design was made to replace a part on my 1972 Blazer, as reproductions can be very expensive. This allows for a lot of customization potential, including mods for integrated lighting and other features. On my Prusa MK3, it took 16 hours and 48 minutes to complete this print with the specified settings.
