64 tetrahedron crystal
thingiverse
Nassim Haramein's 64 Tetrahedron Crystal (https://www.resonancescience.org/) rendered at the actual size of the Ark Crystal (https://arkcrystals.com/) 01_Cristal_Ark_sized prints a half of the 64 tetrahedron crystal. To print nicely on my old Prusa I3 from eMotionTech, I need to add support before four different layers: At Z=17.3 and Z=20.10 for the first "floor" of the half of the crystal. At Z=39.3 and Z=42.10 for the second "floor". I melt and "solder" the support on the piece with a 937D soldering iron at 200°C. The support for Z=17.3 and Z=39.3 is 02_Planche_Triangle_Grille_1_Ark_sized. The support for Z=20.10 and Z=42.10 is 03_Planche_Triangle_Grille_2_Ark_sized. 01_Cristal_Ark_sized_avec_pauses.gcode is the gcode for my printer, to make the pause, I inserted by hand the following sequence before the four layers (and one more before the next layer to check up filament flow is ok): G92 E0 M300 M25 G1 X0 Y0 E0 G92 E0 If I well remember, M300 is for beep, G1 X0 Y0 E0 goes to origin (easier to recover in case you inadvertently push the extruder or the plate while soldering, losing the print position) and M25 triggers pause after next move (the "G1 X0 Y0 E0" here). I join the gcode files for my printer but very likely you'll need to reslice the STL file for your printer and redo this by hand yourself. For completeness I join 04_Support_Ark_sized, a model of display stand.
