625 Ball Bearing (Assembled)
thingiverse

Standard size 625 ball bearing.

Requires assembly, allowing for a small tolerance and easy printing of the object, with no cleaning or welding needed, making repairs a breeze if damage or wear occur.

The balls at both top and bottom are precision-cut to prevent them from becoming egg-shaped during printing.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION :

1- Lay the outer ring flat.

2- Place one center piece inside the outer ring.

3- Insert 15 balls between the inner and outer ring (a drawing pin or needle can help guide them into place).

4- Align the second center piece and push it down firmly (it may be challenging, but this ensures the bearing remains intact).

5- Depending on your printer and slicer settings, the bearing might jam after assembly, but don't panic! Grip the inside of the bearing with pliers or a similar tool and turn it; the rolling will smooth out over time (you'll notice a difference within a dozen turns).

**Recommended:- Apply some plastic-safe lubricant, like silicone-based lubricant, to extend lifespan and keep the balls in place while assembling.

Note, the outer ring and balls are compatible with my 688 Ball Bearing (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3413668)

UPDATE 1, 03/03/19 : Added a smaller variant of the balls (0.1mm smaller) for those experiencing issues with smooth rolling (.stl files added: All-in-1_SMALL, Balls_SMALL, Single_Ball_SMALL)

Check out my other designs! https://www.thingiverse.com/gabhunter123/designs
