This is a versatile dust port adapter that fits between a 60mm (2.25in) dust outlet on various power tools and a standard 35mm (1.37 inches) shop vac connection. It works seamlessly with several popular tools, including the DeWalt 7491-XE table saw and the Carbatec 13" Thickness planer equipped with a spiral head. If you have a tool featuring a 60mm dust port and a 35mm shop vac connection, this adapter is sure to deliver excellent results. Interestingly, DeWalt includes a similar part in their 7491-XE table saw service manual, but it remains unidentified by a specific part number. I've extensively researched and asked around online, yet it appears that this component has never been sold separately. Determined to find a solution, I decided to create my own dust port adapter so I could connect both my planer and table saw simultaneously. The 60mm end of the adapter is tapered down to approximately 57mm, allowing for easy insertion into the lower dust port on the DeWalt 7491-XE table saw or the non-100mm end on my Carbatec thickness planer. The 35mm end is also carefully tapered to ensure a solid seal and works flawlessly with standard 35mm vacuum hoses and handles.
