60mm Telescope Lens Cell (Push/Pull)

60mm Telescope Lens Cell (Push/Pull)

thingiverse

This was my first attempt at making a push/pull style lens cell for a small 60mm achromatic lens. Not all 60mm lenses will be exactly the same dimensions, so these may need modification to fit your needs. This was my first ATM build and was very much a learning process. I also have a dew shield, cap, baffles, focuser, tube clamp, and Vixen-to-photo tripod adapter from this build I can post later, if there is interest. The top and middle cell pieces are screwed together from below, taking note to first install the insert under the glass before screwing them together. Adjustments are made via the push/pull screws, which also serve to affix the lens cell to the bottom piece. The cell assembly is secured with M3 socket cap screws and was designed to be mounted to an aluminum tube with 2.25" OD. The aluminum tube was tapped for M3, while the printed parts did not need tapping.
