60mm OMtech co2 laser brackets upgrade from 50 or 55 mm tube
thingiverse
This is an upgraded CO2 laser bracket mount for a 60mm Tube. This is designed for an OMTECH laser that came stock with a 50 or 55mm tube and now the stock tube mounts wont fit. These files are for top and bottom tube mount as well as shims to set the height. The bottom bracket is wider and will require you to drill new holes in the deck to mount them. I drilled 10-32 but 8-32 or similar metric will work. The new bracket sets the base screws out beyond the tube so you can now access them to adjust the side to side alignment and be able tighten them again. The stock setup leaves the screw heads under the tube and not accessible. I wrap one or two layers of 1mm silicone tape around the tube where the brackets will clamp but any similar tape etc will work. The threaded screw holes in the bottom bracket that the top bracket screws thread in to is metric 4mm .07 but...you can run an 8/32 into it as well just run them through once to cut the threads before assembly. I use PLA PRO. The shims are to set the height and only require the base screws to be loose enough to slide the shim under without removing the screws. I added a second version SHort bracket ver2 and base for short bracket. This is designed so that you can use like 3M commercial grade adhesive double sided tape to hold the base down and no drilling of the laser required. The short bracket then screw into the base with 5mm screws. I have used 3M commercial grade double sided tape and you cant get that stuff off without a crow bar.
