60mm Fan Filter Holder for Monoprice Mini Delta

The miniature fan located at the base of the MonoPrice Mini Delta is a welcome addition since its initial production batch, effectively keeping the electronics cool with its assistance. However, due to its placement on the bottom, it will be more susceptible to drawing in dust and small debris, and the punched holes in the chassis are only sufficient for preventing fingers from entering. This 3mm thick filter frame is capable of holding up to 2mm thick filter media, providing enhanced filtration while minimizing airflow reduction and additional bulk. The screw pockets have been countersunk as deeply as possible to avoid reducing the already minimal penetration even further. For optimal airflow, the printer needs to be elevated a few mm higher than the stock rubber feet provide. This can be achieved using common rubber feet or one of many custom designs found on Thingiverse. This filter frame is likely compatible with other 60mm fans but will not separate the filter from the fan, so this function must be provided elsewhere. For the filter media, I employed the "Frost King NF305A" AC filter nylon mesh which is inexpensive and readily available. Simply trim it to fit the octagonal pocket.
