I sometimes struggled with the spinning spool, as it would often grab hold of the nut and twist it so tightly that the spool could no longer spin at all. The last time this happened was when the printer suddenly lifted itself out of its cabinet and crashed to the ground. To prevent such incidents in the future, I designed these bearing spacers, which allow the spool to spin freely even when the nut is tightened to a high torque setting. These spacers are intended for use with 52mm to 5mm diameter hole spool holders, specifically the one available at Thingiverse under the ID:1817788.
