608 bearing using BBs with source for fidget spinners
thingiverse
I printed a 608 bearing using BBs, including source code that's well-documented for any size modifications. The print was done in PLA without supports needed, making it an easy project to complete. There is a deliberate 3mm gap between the inner and outer ring, which allows you to add half of the BBs first before forcing the remaining ones through the gap. Once in place, the PLA's flexibility enables the BBs to be securely fastened, while also allowing for easy spinning. To aid in spinning and inserting the 11th BB, the outer and inner rings have slightly different bore sizes, giving it a looser fit that enhances speed.
