This is a cleaning Jig for 608 Bearings. It has 2 parts:

Jig: For holding the 608 bearing and cleaning fluid

Rod: Attach one end to your drill and the tapered end into the 608 bearing
Use: I had a bunch of cheap 608 Bearings that no amount of soaking in solvents was freeing them up to spin well (even when removing the dust covers). This Jig set lets you mechanically spin the bearing to work the bearing while in a cleaning fluid. Both the Rod (at one end) and the Jig are tapered so you can just lightly press the rod into the 608 bearing then into the Jig (with the cleaning fluid) and spin the bearing.

After a minute per bearing they were spinning well. Depending how gunked up they are you may need a 2nd clean.

Warning: If you plan to use solvents instead of a cleaning fluid keep in mind that most have a low flash point, so as always.... handle this stuff with care. Please don't use an electric drill that could easily ignite the solvent fumes causing an explosion/fire. You are best using a cleaning fluid then rinsing the bearings out in solvent later.

Print instructions

Category: Tools Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: I3 MK3S

Rafts: Doesn't Matter

Supports: No

Resolution: .20

Infill: 100%

Filament: eSun PETG
Notes:

If you are going to use a Solvent make sure it will not dissolve you plastic (so probably NOT ABS but PETG and even PLA should be fine)
