I designed a simple case capable of holding 68x61x6mm 606168 Lithium Polymer battery packs that measure 3.7v high capacity. These common battery cells are often found in devices like laptop batteries, particularly Macbooks, and other high drain devices. Due to their high capacity and the tendency of lithium to combust in air, storing them is a potentially hazardous endeavor. This unit allows for the safe storage of eight cells. With mounting tabs pointing any direction except up, they are protected from accidental shorting. The lid bracket snaps into place to secure the cells if the box is knocked over.
