600 Cell
thingiverse
This is a massive shadow among six regular polytopes in four dimensions. Constructed from an astonishing 600 tetrahedra, it stands as the dual counterpart to the iconic 120-cell. You can explore this marvel at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:20788 A notable difference sets this model apart from other 4D shadows I've created. This particular polytope centers around a vertex rather than a cell, resulting in a striking symmetry that's hard to ignore. However, this arrangement also poses an intriguing challenge – one of its vertices resides at infinity. Take note of the slender edges radiating outward; they are deliberately designed to connect with a singular vertex situated at an infinite point. **Important Notes for Printers** Please be aware that the innermost edges on this design are tantalizingly thin. Attempting to remove supports without adequate caution may prove disastrous, as these fragile features might break apart under stress. I'm currently working on creating an alternate version with more substantial edges to mitigate this risk.
