60° Fold Foamboard Cutter
thingiverse
I am planning to craft some foam-board RC planes with a triangular fuselage. I have several cutters, but none that make a 60-degree cut. This is not strictly a re-mix since I created it from scratch in OpenSCAD, but it was clearly inspired by: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2779157 To use this design, draw a straight line where you want the fold to occur. Place a straight-edge along the line and pull the cutter along it carefully. Next, switch the straight-edge to the other side and repeat the process again. You should be able to remove a triangle of foam from the underside of the foam-board. The two pieces will fold onto each other at a 60-degree angle. I have found that using a thick straight-edge like a plastic right-angle is best because it keeps the cutter from riding up onto the ruler.
