6 x 5mm LED Strip Light 24V

This is my first upload and will be updated accordingly. I needed a suitable 5mm LED strip light model for my Prusa Lack enclosure, but couldn't find one. So, I created my own custom design. My creation consists of three main components: the LED holder, which must be transparent; the rear cover to house it; and a cover for the electronics. To ensure a consistent current flow of approximately 28mA through the LED strip, I built a small circuit using an LM317 regulator in fixed current mode. To save space, I used a TO-92 packaged LM317 from Texas Instruments - this component is nearly indestructible and can supply up to 100mA, limited by power dissipation related to the voltage drop across it and the current flowing through it. The circuit is straightforward, using two 22 Ohm resistors (I didn't have any 47 Ohm resistors available, so I used two in series instead). You connect the output from the LM317 to the Adj pin. From there, the positive lead of the strip of six LEDs in series (~3.2V drop per LED) is connected to the Adj pin or the output after the resistors, while the negative lead goes to ground. This design was created for a 24V supply; to use it with a 12V supply, you'll need to reduce the number of LEDs or add another parallel strip - Google can help with that. You could also be more clever and add an additional potentiometer in series with the resistors to create a dimmer, as long as it can handle ~28mA. I plan to do this later and will upload a control box with switch design once I get around to it. I recommend adding a fuse for added protection - since I have my own 24V protected line, I didn't include one. I'll also be uploading a circuit diagram for those who may not feel comfortable with the design. The RS Component part number for the LEDs I used is 810-6702.
