I'm building a dust collection system using HVAC metal pipe. This piece allows you to cut a hole in the bottom of the ceiling mounted 6" pipe and connect a 4" pipe for a branch pipe off the main line. It screws to the 6" pipe using standard HVAC self-tapping sheet metal screws. You can seal it with aluminum duct tape or with caulking between the fitting and the pipe.
