They usually come with 5 or 6 spools. The cardboard box they come in is supposed to work like a dispenser, by threading the wire through a small hole. As you can see in one of the pictures, that does not work very well. The wires get tangled easily.</p><p>This holder is supposed to fix that problem. It holds 6 spools. It can stand on a table, be screwed to a wall, or mounted upside down. Each spool is held independently, so they can be removed without affecting the others.</p><p>Printing it is pretty straight forward. There are two different arms you can use. One has a wire holder in front of the spools, and one does not. The arms are mounted from the front, by "hooking" them into the slot. That's why the cutout is there. They should probably be glued in place. Arms are printed with the large flat side down.</p><p>Fusion file is available.</p><ul><li>Small update: Added a printable spool that's the same size as the ones that comes in the sets. So now you can use the holder even if you don't have the spools. The spool prints in two halves, and is glued together.</li></ul><p>v1.1</p><ul><li>Two of the small faces was missing from the tolerance offset on the base, so half of the holes had a slightly tighter fit. This is now fixed.</li><li>Also added a base with a 0.15mm tolerance offset, so the holes are slightly larger.</li><li>Added a small section of the base that can be used as a tolerance test.
