6 Speed Allison Automatic Transmission / Gearbox

This model is based on the Allison 1000 automatic transmission design. While it's not an exact replica, the basic design and functionality are identical. The most notable difference from the real transmission lies in the C1 and C2 clutches that I've designed to work seamlessly with 3D printed parts for easy engagement. Gear Ratios: 1st: 3.20 2nd: 1.86 3rd: 1.43 4th: 1 5th: 0.70 6th: 0.60 R: 4.41 The lower part of the case is designed to be quite spacious, allowing room for solenoids that can engage all the clutches and even a parking pawl that can be controlled with switches or automated with something like Arduino. The selector 3D model can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1214373 If you're interested in receiving the Arduino sketch to control the solenoids, please send me a personal message. I currently have the sketch working with lights instead of solenoids due to not having the transmission printed yet. It's highly realistic and features everything you'd expect: Select Park, Reverse, etc., with delay on Reverse and Drive mode. The automatic mode changes gears based on speed and pedal pressure (requires a speed sensor on the output and a potentiometer for the pedal). It also includes manual mode, manual override, and more. I don't have access to a 3D printer, so I'd greatly appreciate any feedback from those who've printed one to improve the model. Although I check all parts in Cura to ensure they're ready to print, except for orientation, which you'll need to adjust to minimize overhanging and warping. Last updated: 06/05/2016
