6-Seat, Twin-Engine Propeller Plane

As part of a group project involving five other students, I took responsibility for creating the CATIA model of an aircraft powered by two Continental TSIO-520 piston engines with 78-inch constant speed props. The plane features six seats and our team conducted a comprehensive performance evaluation based on a specific mission profile. Emphasis was placed on aesthetic appeal to captivate potential customers. To ensure ease of modification during the design process, the CATIA model was heavily parameterized, with major dimensions controlled by parameters and key functions such as cabin door operation, landing gear movement, and paint scheme color changes managed through rules. Additionally, BRep references were completely avoided in order to minimize errors when altering geometry.
