6 Roller 65mm Omni Wheel

This Omni Wheel kit is designed specifically for building versatile robots and rc vehicles that can move in any direction with ease. The wheel itself measures 65mm in diameter, making it an ideal size for various applications. The hub of the wheel is cleverly engineered to be mounted directly onto a 1/4" hex shaft, just like tool bits. The Omni Wheel can be used as a standalone unit or paired up with other wheels in sets, utilizing the rotated hub design shown in the images. To create an effective grip surface on the small roller, I utilized two layers of heat shrink tubing measuring 10mm in diameter. However, you have the flexibility to use silicone or other coatings if needed. For applications where grip isn't essential, a larger roller is provided as a bare plastic unit. To hold everything together, large paperclips were used as the roller shafts. The kit also includes three holes for #8-32 machine screws, which provide added stability and support to the wheel. It's highly recommended to use super glue in conjunction with these screws, especially in the spokes of the wheel, to ensure maximum strength and durability against impact.
