cults3d
This is a replica of the 6-pounder field gun used during the American Civil War in its original form as it appeared in 1841. Efforts were made to recreate every detail with precision, though some modifications had to be implemented in order to make it printable. Below is an image that served as a template for this model: Image For a more comprehensive understanding of the history behind this firearm, please visit: https://www.militaryfactory.com/armor/detail.asp?armor_id=660 Additional requirements include: A 3 mm x 190mm brass shaft, which can be flattened at both ends with a hammer and then drilled to accommodate a 1.5 mm hole. Some nails and needles will also be necessary for securing the fittings in place. Threaded rods measuring M3 x 40mm are required to secure the cheeks of the gun. One threaded rod, measuring M3 x 18mm, is needed to attach the elevator mechanism. Another threaded rod, measuring M3 x 22mm, serves to fasten the stock of the gun. Lastly, four threaded rods measuring M2 x 10mm, complete with nuts and washers, are necessary for securing the underside of the cheeks. It's worth noting that metal hexagonal nuts will require blackening by heating and filing to a rectangular shape, if possible.
