6 inch rack PDU
thingiverse
This remix of the 1U 6 inch Raspberry Pi rack utilizes a 5V power brick as its source, with five 5.5 x 2.5mm outputs each controlled by a switch and 3mm LED. The switches are cheap generic SPST toggles available on Amazon or eBay (https://amzn.to/2wgRFkV), while the 2.5 x 5.5 mm jacks can be found at https://amzn.to/2wnOMiu. #6 x half inch screws are used for assembly. This power distribution system is perfect for distributing power to multiple Raspberry Pi's and NodeMCU ESP8266's. For powering Raspberry Pi's, I use 2.5mm to micro USB adapters connected to 2.5mm double-ended DC power cables (refer to the picture of the Pi for the cable and adapter). I have created several remixes of the original 1 and 2 U designs. The 2U design fits a SmartThings hub perfectly, while the 1U's are ideal for powering Raspberry Pi's (Pbx server, Blynk server, VPN server, DNS server), ESP8266's, and power distribution.
