6 inch glove port for Still Air Box

thingiverse

This adapter port makes it easy to insert six-inch gloves into a six-inch hole on the side of a box. The ring goes inside the box, while the tapered extension is used to secure the glove with zip ties or tie-wraps. This design ensures that the glove stays in place without needing excessive tightness due to its beefy weight. For optimal results, print this adapter with 0.2mm layer heights, as all the spacing for the hardware is divisible by this value. Thicker layers provide greater strength, which is especially important given the two-part nature of this design. Even if you use 0.3mm layer height, your worst-case scenario will be a thickness difference of only 0.2mm in terms of bolt length. To assemble this adapter port, you'll need some basic hardware: six M3x10mm screws and six M3 nuts per port. The design is intended for use with 2mm thick totes, which keeps the hardware flush and prevents damage to your gloves. If your tote is thicker, you may need longer screws.
