6 Foot Armadyl Godsword
thingiverse
This is a truly life-size Old School RuneScape Armadyl Godsword. It measures just over six feet long and stands 1.5 inches thick. I designed and printed this with the intention of mounting it on the wall, but it can also be wielded if you have an Attack level of at least 75. I did not import any game files to create this. Instead, I studied the image on the OSRS wiki and estimated the dimensions to make it as proportionate as possible. I absolutely love the art style of OSRS, and wanted this sword to be a tribute to it. I didn't want to add intricate details that aren't there on the in-game weapon. It is 1.5 inches thick across its entire length, and it has a flat surface throughout for easier wall mounting. For increased rigidity and stability, I've created an optional hole spanning almost the entire length of the sword as well, meant for a 3/4 inch thick 70 inch long wooden dowel rod. In the files you'll find the twelve pieces it takes to print. I printed each piece laying flat without supports or rafts necessary. The only caveats that I would say with using no supports are the following: First, for Blade Piece 3 and 4, it would turn out a little better if supports were used, but with a little sanding it still looks great. And second, with such little infill percentage, when it creates the hole for the dowel rod, it may not look the best at first. That's fine. It still does the job of bridging the gaps effectively enough to make the hole. Versions of these twelve pieces with and without the hole for the dowel rod are included. Also, if you'd like to cut it down further yourself or scale it to fit your fancy, the files include the entire sword in one piece, both with and without the hole cut for the dowel rod. Two of the images above are of course pulled from the wiki, linked here: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Armadyl_godsword Also, I do plan on creating the other three hilts as well at some point, Saradomin, Bandos, and Zamorak. Perhaps even other runescape/other video game weapons?
