This is my recommended version of the modernized diesel locomotive. It features a new ("ERS") coupling system designed to handle even the most demanding track curvatures on LEGO and ERS track systems. Additionally, the wheels have been redesigned for quicker assembly without requiring any external components and improved stable traction. With these modifications, this model now includes a complete set of parts - even wheel axles are 3D printed (1.75mm filament pieces are used for hinges' axles). To learn more about assembly, please refer to the PDF instructions here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/j29n88btflabrvk/DIESEL-02.pdf?dl=0 The locomotive is compatible with LEGO tracks due to its adequate distance between gauge lines and native tracks standard: "Euroreprap Railroad System" (a free inter-connector track model is available). No support is needed during printing, and printers with small bed sizes can be used - for areas below 15x15 cm, contact me first to obtain the correct files. During assembly, no special tools are required; I use a metal nail file to smooth out any excess material. The assembled model measures 323x134x72 mm (12.72x5.28x2.83 in). If you want to experiment with this model on other track scales, adjust the factors: x0.847 for 32 mm track (scale "0") and x1.19 for 45 mm track (scale "G"). Note that after scaling, a minimum bed size of 18x18 cm is required; scaling factors may vary depending on each printer's accuracy level.
