6_2 Knot from SeifertView
thingiverse
A 6_2 knot designed by Candace Bethea and refined by Dave Pfaff along with myself from my Math 341 Introduction to Topology class during Fall 2014. Print Settings Printer Brand: Formlabs Printer: Form 1 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Notes: You may need to rescale this object by a factor of 10 in Makerware since it is sized in cm not mm. You may also need to move the knot onto the platform, I think it is just above it. The knot is about 7cm x 7cm x7cm in size. This knot was first printed on a Project 260 3D Systems printer. Later, I printed it on the FormLabs 1+ printer in clear resin (02). How I Designed This The 6_2 knot was exported from SeifertView and then opened up in Cinema4D for further refinement. The surface of the knot needed fixing due to overlapping polygons which were deleted before filling in the gaps using the Stitch and Sew tool in Edge Mode.
