Please consider joining our Tribe… Most outsiders consider dwarves to be a graceless race, a species of dour merchants and joyless warriors who know only toil and carry grudges until they die of old age, loving only gold and precious gems. But they do not know that the dwarven women are their greatest treasure. The guardians of the clans’ histories and bloodlines, dwarven women carry more influence than any clan chief or elder. As the mothers of the dwarven race, they have final saying in all things considering marriages and families, raising children and many other customs. At the peak of dwarven social structures there is a queen, who is frequently a priestess of dwarven Great Mother, wife to the Soul Forger, who made the dwarves out of sparks from his anvil. A dwarven queen is usually not only a powerful spellcaster, but a mighty warrior as well, eschewing axes and other bladed weapons, prefering to use hammers and mauls as a symbolic representation of their role as protectors of the clan and hold.
