5x7 Stereo Darkroom Printing Mask
thingiverse
A Simple Solution for Printing Two Stereographic Images on One 5x7 Sheet of Paper in the Darkroom. This ingenious mask is designed specifically to print two stereographic images onto a single 5x7 sheet of paper, all within the darkroom's controlled environment. Each image will be precisely 60mm square, allowing for optimal viewing and comparison. Please note that this design is tailored to sit atop a "Speed Ez El" easel, a popular choice among many photographers in the darkroom. Although I have not tested it on any other 5x7 easels, its simplicity makes it likely to work with similar setups. Simply place the paper in the easel as you normally would, then position this mask directly above the paper, ensuring that it selectively blocks out light. For added convenience, an optional tab can be superglued into a slot on the mask, making it easier to grip and place or remove. Future variations of this design are already on the horizon. I plan to create additional masks for different paper sizes and image window sizes as my photography needs dictate. If you have a specific request, feel free to let me know – it should be relatively quick for me to adapt the design to suit your requirements.
