Human-made material - PLA, also known as Poly Lactic Acid, is a popular choice for 3D printing because it's biodegradable and non-toxic. WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T MAKE PLA PROPS THAT PERFORM EXCEPTIONALLY WELL?! My own simple bullnose design exceeded my expectations, even without balancing and only basic finishing with a craft knife to remove some stubborn brim fragments post print. I even added a couple of flips on the second flight, and the props held rock solid (even when I pushed my luck on a third flip too close to the ground, and the frame came down on its arm embedding a prop blade in the soil.... no damage). RESULT! You can view the video here: https://youtu.be/l38aqKbnbvo. Also worth noting is that I tested them on a 350-frame drone in that video, which is generally oversized and slightly overweight for 5-inch props but still held up admirably. Print Settings: * Printer: Colido Printrite DIY 3D printer (Ramps 1.4) * Rafts: None * Supports: None * Resolution: 0.2 mm * Infill: 30% * Notes: Use a brim of at least 5mm as blades obviously don't have a large enough footprint for solid bed adhesion otherwise. Suggest setting the extruder temperature near your filament's upper thermal limit, as there is little chance of "stringing" with these designs during printing and you really want to maximize layer bond.
