5x DC Distro
thingiverse
All of my switches are single-pole, single-throw (SPST), and I dislike running multiple wires everywhere to split power, so I created this solution to help with distribution and organization. One 2.1mm DC input is provided, along with five 2.1mm DC outputs, all wired to SPST switches. The switch plate is secured to the case via four 4-40 screws - mine are 3/8" long. Case hanging screws are designed for #6 wood screws. You can see in the images that I scorched the sides slightly with my soldering iron. After that print, I updated the design to be a bit deeper, keeping the switch blades farther away from the plugs. I wired all grounds together and ran 12v through the top blades, then connected short wires from the bottom blades to center pins. Here's what I used (all of which were lying around from other projects): - Right-angle 2.1mm DC plug: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07HVK588D/ - 4-40 3/8" screws: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00GDZEM9Q/ - 2.1mm DC jack: https://smile.amazon.com/ThreeBulls-Pieces-5-5mmx2-1mm-Female-Connector/dp/B01N8VV78D/ - SPST switch: https://smile.amazon.com/ZUPAYIPA-Solder-Rocker-Switch-Toggle/dp/B01N2U8PK0/ - Black 2-conductor cable: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RGHZB5D/
