5V LM7805 Regulator Mount for WT-LC Case (with STP file)
thingiverse
This is still under development and I am actively testing it right now. Designed to host an LM7805 within my WT-LC 80mm RAMPS+Re-ARM enclosure, I am incorporating a touch probe into my Re-ARM system. The built-in 5v regulator appears to be having difficulty with the added functionality, so I am counting on installing the LM7805 (powered by 12v from the supply) to deliver sufficient current for reliable operation. All parts are not oriented for printing as yet. The attached STP file makes it easy to remix and modify this design. The WT-LC 80mm Fan Latching Case for Re-ARM + RAMPS 1.6 can be located here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3052975 Updated - version 36U - adjusted the mounting holes and made some minor changes. (Currently being tested). Update - I've encountered a problem with my board, and after reevaluating its suitability for my requirements, I believe it's not ideal for what I need it to do. This board can handle 12V DC or AC power input, but since I'm only using DC power, I don't require the extra features. I will explore alternative solutions or create a compact LM7805 board to accomplish the task. For now, I'll leave this design available in case someone with a genuine need for this specific board finds it useful.
