The fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro, unveiled in 2006, received a complete redesign with production starting in Canada in 2009 as a 2010 model. Designed and developed by GM Holden in Australia, it was available in LS, LT, and SS trim levels powered by V6 and V8 engines producing up to 426 hp. In 2010, the Camaro was named World Car Design of the Year. Convertible models joined the range in 2011, followed by export versions in 2012 due to unexpected domestic demand. The 45th-anniversary edition in 2012 featured a unique stripe package and exclusive wheels, while the ZL1 model boasted a supercharged V8 producing 580 hp, making it the fastest production Camaro. In 2013, Chevrolet revealed refreshed 2014 models with updated styling and the return of the Z/28 model, featuring a high-performance 7.0 liter LS7 V8 engine producing 505 hp.
