This is a universal Rear Dash cam mount designed specifically for the 5th Generation Toyota 4Runner. It secures directly into the back seat belt hook's holder location. The back seat belt hook has a protective cover that opens with a slight pop, revealing a 10mm bolt underneath. Simply remove the rear right back seat belt hook using a 10mm socket wrench. Print this mount in PetG or any other high heat resistant material to ensure it can withstand the extreme temperatures inside your vehicle during the hot summer months. A PLA print will warp and droop, causing it to point downwards, as I learned from my initial test prints. To attach your Rear Dash Cam securely, use a thick layer of double-sided high heat tape. This will provide a strong hold that can support multiple cameras. This mount is designed to hang low enough to remain visible through the rear window when it's dirty and partially cleaned by the rear wiper. Living in Canada, I'm all too familiar with the challenges of driving on roads treated with salt and sand during the winter months, which can leave an opaque residue on the unwiped portion of the rear window. This mount sits at a comfortable height to allow for visibility through the "cleaned" section of the glass.
