sketchfab
Found on a site (5MT7405) located on Mockingbird Mesa within Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, this reddened ceramic pot shard is evidence of the profound social connections that dominated the lives of the Puebloan people living in the region during the 12th and 13th centuries AD. Unlike any other type of ceramic discovered in the Northern San Juan Region, this object likely traveled hundreds of miles before being discarded near a subterranean kiva in this small village that housed approximately twenty residents.
